  1. As they are, the sessions are perfect for us. We would be unable to commit to other times due to commitments to other sports.
It would be such a shame if changes to times forced people to leave seals,as the kids love being part of the club and all the training seems to be paying off as they have done so well in recent galas.

  2. It seems such a shame that after all these years of support between Ringwood Seals and Ringwood Leisure centre that this situation has even arisen. Would the Leisure centre really financially benifit taking the Tuesday session away?

  3. Almost every public swimming pool in the area has a swimming club that it is home to. Ringwood Leisure Centre are surely supposed to be promoting a healthy lifestyle . Ringwood Seals encourages this from a young age.
My son hates team sports such as rugby and football so his three sessions a week are his main form of excercise outside school activities. He has to get the bus to school, in Salisbury, at 7.30 in the morning so cannot attend an early morning session during the week. I think this could see Ringwood Seals disbanded through lack of membership with parents taking their children to other clubs.
The Leisure Centre is paid for the use of the pool.
Perhaps they would consider changing the times or cancelling sessions for their swim academy?

  4. We couldn’t commit to attending another venue due to the travelling time & work cconstraints. We could attend on a Wednesday evening but early morning swims & after 9pm sessions are just not feasible. Our daughter starts secondary school in September so her days will be longer due to catching a bus.

  5. With work commitments, times and travel times would make a Huge impact on our lives, not sure how we would work it all, maybe friends could help but not always in same sessions

  6. The times and the frequency are perfect for us, bearing in mind school and work commitments. It would be a real shame if we lost the Tuesday slot

  7. We love the sessions just as they are, spread across the week and early enough not to effect school nights. We travel from Wimborne to be part of such a lovely and friendly club, therefore other venues would be out of the question for us as would morning sessions before school. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have our say and we have everything crossed it can stay the same.

  8. I would also consider a slot on Saturday or Mon, Wed, Thu. New Milton, Totton, Lymington and Applemore are too far for us to travel from Ashley Heath on school nights as I have a 9 year old in session 2, therefore we would then cut down one session and attend on Friday and Sunday.

  9. Think the way sessions are spread out in the week is perfect, If a slot is to be dropped would prefer it to be Friday as always a struggle with other activities . Seems to me that Tuesday’s are far more popular for all swimmers . Hope it can get sorted . Thank you
